GENERAL INFO

What makes The Jade Dress Shop prints special?

Our prints are Giclée prints, the finest graphic art reproduction and museum-quality available today, printed with archival pigment inks on paper by one of the world’s best fine art printers located in New York City. 

Giclée is a French word meaning "spray of ink." A Giclée print is created one at a time. The editions are small. Printing a single Giclée can take up to several hours depending on the size of the print.

Each print, includes a certificate of authenticity that's numbered and signed.

How can I understand the print sizes listed?

Sizes listed reflect the size of the paper in inches and are related to popular sizes for framing, not the image itself on the paper.

All prints are printed with margins or blank space around them. Margin sizes can vary depending on the proportions of the image, and margins will change with differently sized images. For example, some prints may have a 1-inch border, while others may have up to 5 inches. Some prints are square, while sizes listed are rectangular. We determine the best placement for your image on the size paper indicated. Having a margin protects the image from damage and allows for easier framing and mounting. 

If you would like an image placed smaller on a given size, or oriented as a 'portrait' or 'landscape' layout, please notate that on your order.

Beyond that, any further special instructions would be a “special piece commissioned” order. Please contact us directly to 'co-create' and for availability and prices.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, we do! The Jade Dress Shop Gift Cards (in values from $25. to $1000.) and their use on the site are subject to the following Terms of Use:

Gift Cards can only be redeemed at The Jade Dress Shop for the purchase of prints.

For Gift Cards, all purchases are deducted from a dollar balance. Any unused balance will be stored on the recipient's gift certificate as a balance until redeemed. If an order exceeds the amount of the gift card, the remaining order balance must be paid with a credit card or other available payment method.

Desire a gift card beyond $1000.? Just ask and we can create something marvy for you!

Can I commission a special piece?

Thank you for asking! Yes, we are open to hearing your ideas for illustration, portrait collage pieces, commercial work, wallpaper, or custom public installations. You can contact us here.

Please note that commissions are priced differently than reflected in the collection of prints on The Jade Dress Shop site. Once your commission is accepted an invoice reflective of the project will be issued.  We do reserve the right to decline a commission request for any reason.

ORDERS

I have a question about my order. How can I contact you?

Contact us by clicking here, and include your order number, and we'll get back to you as quickly as we can. You can also leave us a voicemail message at (917) 991.8140, but email is generally much quicker. 

What happens after I place my order?

The printing process can take up to 72 hours, so please allow at least a week to receive your order.

When your order does ship we'll email you a shipping confirmation, including and tracking number.  Please see below for more information on shipping times.

SHIPPING

How long will it take for me to get my order?

Gift Certificates are delivered immediately by email.

Prints ship within 10 business days of your order date via USPS or UPS.  If shipping is delayed for any reason, we will update you.  You'll receive a tracking number and shipment confirmation the moment your order ships. In the continental US, delivery time is 1-3 days from the moment your order ships.  International orders may take up to 14 days due to customs.

Do you ship to countries outside the U.S.?

Yes! The Jade Dress Shop ships internationally (including to Australia, the UK, and Canada). You will be able to select your country from a drop down list during checkout. If you don't see your country of residence, please email us and we'll work on adding it.

How is my order shipped? Can I give you special instructions?
Depending on the size of the print/s and amount ordered we ship your print/s flat or in mailing tubes so they arrive neat and ready to frame. For T-shirts and other products, we ship in a well-protected envelope. If you prefer flat shipment, or if you have any special shipping instructions, please note them on your order where it says "special instructions for the seller."

RETURNS

What is your return policy?  

Cancellation and Changes

If you wish to cancel or change your order for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible.  If your order ships and you would still like to cancel it, you are responsible for returning the item for a credit only.  Custom commission piece orders may be cancelled at any point, however, any and all deposits or payments made are not refunded.

Refunds and Returns

Prints are eligible for a credit within 30 days of the original delivery. Prints damaged in shipping to us are not eligible for a credit, though may be eligible for replacement if the damage occurred when we shipped to you.  Since all of our art is limited-edition, we need to verify the condition of the print and its matching Certificate Of Authenticity before we can issue a refund. Please contact us to begin the returns process. 

  • The Jade Dress Shop is not responsible for and does not reimburse shipping costs on any returns or exchanges, unless due to an error made directly by The Jade Dress Shop.
  • Items with a value of $75. or more must be returned using a trackable method.
  • Prints that are returned with damage cannot be accepted for a refund or credit.
  • Any items returned without the original Certificate of Authenticity will not be accepted for a refund.
  • It generally takes 5 - 7 business days after receiving your return for it to be inspected and a refund submitted.
  • Custom commission pieces orders cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded or credited once complete and delivered. 

Damaged or incorrect orders - If for any reason you receive your art damaged or receive the incorrect art please contact us as soon as possible, so we can resolve and replace the item at no charge to you.
